When your MRCOOL Mini Split System requires a setup beyond the standard 25 feet provided, this extension kit is designed to bridge the gap. It includes a 16-foot pre-charged line set and couplers, allowing you to extend the distance between your air handler and condenser to a total of 50 feet, ensuring a seamless installation process.
Kit Contents:
- 16' Pre-Charged Line Set: Extends the length of your current setup by an additional 16 feet.
- Couplers (DIYCOUPLER-38 and DIYCOUPLER-58): These couplers allow for an effortless connection between the new and existing line sets.
- MC5 Pro Cable Extension: Ensures a continuous electrical connection between your indoor and outdoor units.
Installation Steps:
- Disconnect Existing Cable: Remove the pre-attached 25-foot wire or cable from your indoor unit.
- Install MC5 Pro Cable: Replace it with the new extended cable provided in the kit for uninterrupted power supply.
- Connect Line Sets: Use the couplers to connect the new 16-foot line set to your existing 25-foot line set, extending the total reach to 50 feet.
Important Considerations:
- Maximum Length: Ensure the total length from air handler to condenser does not exceed 75 feet per zone for optimal system performance.
- Handling Excess Cable: Coil any excess cable instead of cutting it to maintain the integrity of the system.
This kit is perfect for use with 24,000 and 36,000 BTU indoor wall units, making it an ideal solution for installations that require extended distances.
