September 26th - 27th, 2026
Saturday - Sunday 9am-5pm, 16 CEUs

With Josh Wechsler, RYT 500, Tarot Reader & Reiki Master

Transitions & Class Design focuses on the often-overlooked elements that transform a sequence into a cohesive, embodied experience. This module explores how movement pathways, pacing, and intentional transitions create rhythm, continuity, and clarity within a class — especially in dynamic, flow-based practices.

Teachers will examine how to design classes that build logically and energetically, using transitions to support strength, mobility, and nervous system coherence rather than simply moving from pose to pose. Emphasis is placed on why transitions matter — how they distribute load, reduce unnecessary strain, and help students stay connected to breath and sensation throughout the practice.

This module also addresses the broader architecture of class design: warm-up strategy, peak sequencing, integration, and landing. Teachers will practice refining transitions, simplifying where needed, and using repetition and patterning to support both learning and flow.

Transitions & Class Design supports teachers in creating classes that feel intentional, fluid, and satisfying — where movement makes sense, energy is sustained, and students leave feeling oriented, accomplished, and well cared for.

Josh Wechsler has always been drawn to yoga, spirituality, movement, and music. His fascination with the mystical began early, guiding him into diverse spiritual and meditative practices that continue to shape his life and teaching today. He began his yoga practice over 25 years ago and has had a strong presence in the Austin yoga community since 2009.

He earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Theatre Performance from Oklahoma City University and has been part of Austin’s creative community since 2009, performing in theaters across the city and teaching voice and musical theatre. In 2013, he co-founded the Pre-Professional Company at ZACH Theatre, which grew under his leadership into a nationally recognized program. He is now co-owner of The J² Method, a performing arts conservatory whose alumni are represented at top arts universities and on Broadway.

Alongside his work in the arts, Josh has cultivated a deep connection to the physical practice of yoga. Teaching since 2018, he brings an intention to “Work Hard, Have Fun,” encouraging students to find joy, authenticity, and resilience on the mat.

Josh is a Reiki Master, Tarot reader, and meditation teacher, with advanced training in The Bowspring method. He holds a 200-Hour Yoga Certification from Breath & Body Yoga, is a Certified Assisted Stretch Coach, and completed a 300-Hour Yoga & Leadership training with Gioconda Parker in 2022.

Great price great shoe
Size: 12, Color: Burgundy Polished Full Grain
Excellent shoe. Tried the Sebago penny loafer and the sizing was ridiculous. These J and M are sized perfectly. I’ve had them before and they wear like iron. Very comfortable right out of the box.

Quality shoe but with a slight squeak.
Size: 10 Wide, Color: Burgundy Polished Full Grain
Nice shoes with the classic Penny Loafer design. Fit was better than another brand I tried. Only reason not 5 starts is disappointment due to a slight squeak at times when walking.

Exact item ordered, quick delivery
Size: 9.5, Color: Black Polished Full Grain
I ordered these black Cole Haan penny loafers for casual wear with jeans, khakies, and even business casual with slacks and a jacket. They've always worked perfectly for these uses. The Cole Haan version is the most versatile and still meets my sophisticated look criteria. I wear a 9 1/2 M with almost all other shoes. I have found Cole Haan to run slightly wider and slightly shorter. This fit will work with thin and no socks and a little loose in width. . I'd likely order a 10 N next time. I tend to forget this but it runs consistent with me for Cole Haan. 5 stars for the shoe and service. My bad on the slightly off fit.

Poor quality control - maybe outlet store leftovers
Size: 11.5, Color: Burgundy Polished Full Grain
The two shoes were not the same size. They were both labeled 11 1/2 but one shoe was larger than the other and the fit was poor. I returned the first pair and ordered a replacement. This time the shoes were close to the same size but too loose and the left one has sewing issues. I've bought Johnston & Murphy for years because of the quality. These were to replace an existing pair of burgundy penny loafers that have finally worn out (even after several heal/sole replacements). That is the expected quality. I suspect Nashville Shoe Warehouse may be handling shoes that didn't measure up for the quality; more like an outlet mall than getting the J&M quality I've come to expect. Update: went to Johnston & Murphy site to buy "direct" from the manufacturer. There were several recent reviews where the shoes were long and didn't fit properly. Genesco - please step up the manufacture / crafting of these classic shoes to the level of quality they used to have.
