Persian Lilac is a deciduous shrub with an upright global habit and lightly arching branches holding deep green foliage.  Panicles of highly fragrant starry flowers are often white, pale pink. or lavender, and bloom in late spring.  Best flowering with full sun and rich, moist well-drained neutral soils. 

MAINTENANCE NEEDS:  Low Maintenance. Prune as needed immediately after flowering. Powdery mildew can be a significant problem with leaves often acquiring a white overlay in summer. Additional disease problems include blights, leaf spots, wilt and ring spot virus. Potential insect pests include scales, borers, leaf miners and caterpillars.
