In this Very Short Introduction Tom Burns explores the nature of psychiatry, focusing on what it can and cannot do, and discussing why its history has been beset by dramatic shifts in emphasis and types of treatment. Considering the main disorders that have shaped its practice (such as schizophrenia and manic depression), he analyzes how it differs from (and overlaps with) psychology and psychotherapy. Many of the controversies arise from its dual origin 200 years ago and the separate development of psychiatry with a more "medical" approach in the asylums, rather than the psychological approach which birthed psychoanalysis and various forms of psychotherapy. Discussing philosophical issues of psychiatry's legitimacy, Burns explores the mistakes psychiatry has made and the blind alleys in its history, before looking forward to the likely changes in its practice with the coming of artificial intelligence and virtual reality. Can’t be beat for the price

Can’t beat it for the price, I was at super fancy NYE party. Lots of guys in very expensive jackets asking me where I got mine, this jacket got tons of compliments and looked great in photos. Quality was higher than I figured it would be for this price point. Go one size up, I am normally an XL, I ordered XXL and fit perfect.

Good jacket for the price

My son had prom and the theme was, "Your Night to Shine," so he and his girlfriend decided they needed to SHINE. And when this boy picks for a theme, he picks!
He is 5'11 150 lbs, very thin, but also muscular and ordered a small. The sleeves were a bit short on him, but that's to no fault of the jacket, it's just been his life as a tall, lanky kid. Great quality, steamed the creases out easily, and stayed together the entire evening.

Great for the stage. A bit iffy up close.

Jacket is decent. It’s good for the stage. It looks a bit cheap up close. Probably good for prom but for an adult wearing it to a function I can’t say I would recommend it. But it’s great for the stage! We have worn them many times and they hold up well. I’ve even washed them in the washing machine on delicate cycle without any problems. Just hang it to dry and you’re good to go. It holds it shape and doesn’t wrinkle. A good value for the money. The sequences are this color as they are shown. The sizes are true to fit.
