In addition to providing basic information and insights into the Old Testament writings, these commentaries exemplify the tasks and procedures of careful interpretation, to assist students of the Old Testament in coming to an informed and critical engagement with the biblical texts themselves.Jeremiah has a reputation for being one of the most difficult books in the Bible to read. Despite its dense and jumbled appearance, Stulman shows that Jeremiah is far more than a random accumulation of miscellaneous materials. Jeremiah is an artistic and symbolic tapestry held together by prose seams. In the first commentary to give the prose literature such strong attention, Stulman explains how the prophetic book reenacts the dismantling of Israel's most cherished social and symbolic systems. In doing so it speaks poignantly of the horrors of war and military occupation, as well as the resultant despair and anger.
Siege and deportation, however, do not signal the end for the people of God. As Jeremiah unfolds, seeds of hope begin to emerge. Such hope asserts that massive wreckage does not nullify God's love, that oppressive and murderous forces will not ultimately triumph, and that the suffering and sovereign God will sculpt new beginnings out of the ruin of fallen worlds.

Great ball!

Our puppy loves this ball. It has held up well so far, it’s about 2 weeks now of large breed pup play. It’s been outside for the last week, rain or shine, still in working order. Not as big as I thought it would be though. No squeak, bounces well. Thick rubber like material, that can be depressed when biting down.

Durable, even for a Great Dane!

I've bought many tennis ball sized ChuckIt balls in the past (for medium sized dogs we've owned), so when we knew we were going to be babysitting our daughter's Great Dane, I bought a bigger one for her. The 4" is perfect for her! She plays catch with it, but also likes to gnaw on it. It holds up great!

Another great product from Chuckit!

Exactly the high quality that I've come to expect from Chuckit! The plastic/rubber used in their products is extremely tough yet gives enough that it's hard to actually pierce the it and tear apart. We have had Chuckit! Sticks and Balls with launcher for years and love them all. This particular ball is pretty big so my 45 pound pit mix struggles to pick it up but that's part of the fun for him. My 85 pound pit mix can pick it up no problem. The only "complaint" is that the two of them have been having so much fun with their new ball, they have already knocked something over and broke it.

Perfect for my mid size pit bull

Updating my review, the ball only lasted 5 days. I left the 5 stars because we had enough fun those 5 days to be worth the small price. She has dog has a lot of jaw strength, so I’m not surprised
We have a mid size foster pit bull. This ball is her favorite toy. It’s durable and the perfect size for her to play ball safely.
