New Vinyl Record - Hide - Hell Is Here

2018's "Castration Anxiety", the debut full-length from Chicago's Hide, presented an adept evolution in the journey of interdisciplinary artists Heather Gabel and Seth Sher. Trading in concrete and traditional songwriting and compositional structure for more challenging, stripped back, and cathartic arrangement, the duo ventured to reconfigure industrial music for a contemporary age. "Hell Is Here", Hide's 2019 sophomore full-length, sees this evolution progress even further. Using their previously established blueprint, Gabel and Sher poke and prod at the perception of musical context, and remind the listener that feelings of anxiety, pain, and discomfort are equally as important as those of resolution. Perhaps the strongest tool utilized here is the material's dichotomy between the abrasive and the sterile. Beneath the crushing noisy exterior, sparks the familiar human voice. Divorced from their caustic counterparts Gabel's vocals play a decisive role in cementing narrative for the material's uncompromising assault on the senses. Opening track "Chainsaw" immediately lays the groundwork for the excursion to come. Twisted, cold, and dry repetition soundtracks a one sided catcalling verbal assault. The theme of objectification carries through to the following track "999" with the use of a well-placed vocal sample that declares "... when you depersonalize another person... it seems to make it easier to do things you shouldn't do." This sentiment is expertly echoed throughout the rest of "Hell Is Here" and attempts to forcefully remind the listener of humanity's absurd and animalistic nature. Nearing the end of the punishing trek we find "Pain", which is arguably the record's most formidable use of space. The call and response nature of both the harsh percussive elements paired with the impending vocals effectively induces a deafening anxiety that's rivaled only by the lyrical content of Gabel's shrieking voice. The summation of material presented on "Hell Is Here" is perhaps best interpreted as the rawest innards of Hide's vision for the self-governing ideology that's consistently present throughout their body of work. Painful truth and honest examination of life's darkest, and often undiscussed, crevices scratch and claw their way to the surface through the duo's strongest and most confrontational work to date. Produced by Hide and Seth Manchester, recorded by Seth Manchester at Machines With Magnets. Mastered by Adam Stilson at Decade. Cut by Josh Bonati. LP comes packaged in soft-touch laminate jacket with photography by Evan P Jenkins and designed by Hide, with foldout lyrics and 18x24" poster inside. CD is packaged in reverse board wallet with lyrics.

Great quality, we could've sized up.
Size: X-Large, Color: Black, Size: X-Large, Color: Black
This suit was absolutely stunning! My son looked amazing in it for homecoming. With him being 6'4", the length was perfect, but it was a but too snug in his thighs, as he is a muscular athlete, and he was a bit worried sitting down in it!😂 Nonetheless, it held up well for my huge Samoan baby, and he got many compliments on it. We also found a bow tie to match it perfectly with the same pattern.

Jackets made too small and too tight
Size: X-Large, Color: Black
My son is 6'2" & 185 lbs and normally wears a 36 in pants. Site recommends a large, but I ordered an xxl based off the reviews. It was way too big in pants and jacket! I then ordered the large and the xl to be on the safe side because prom was fastly approaching. The large was too small! The xl was okay, but not perfect. Somehow it seems they need a suit size in between the xl and xxl, leading me to think they were just sewn wrong. The pants were extra long (good thing for us), they had to be hemmed. He did need a belt, but not by much. He was able to bend and sit with the pants on. The jacket however still runs small in my opinion. It is too tight in the arms, making it difficult to move. It is also on the short side in sleeves and length. It definitely shows when raising your arms. We chose this suit because we THOUGHT it was the pattern of his date's prom dress; turns out it wasn't. But it matched the vest we bought perfectly. This suit is made of a thin silky material and it runs small. And the pockets ARE useable. You just need to find the starter hole and remove the thread (if closed). I would recommend buying a different suit unless you order it bigger and have the time and money to alter it. Oh, and it will take a while to get a refund. Suits ship to you fast, but goes back slow. You gotta wait til the company receive the item, then still wait for the refund.

Great suit for a great price
Size: XX-Large, Color: Burgundy
Bought this for a wedding. Ordered a size larger and it fit perfectly. High quality fabric and it looked great. Got a lot of compliments. Would definitely buy again. Great value. It's nice that you don't have to spend a lot for a suit of this quality and style.

Boys Formal suit
Size: 10 Years, Color: Champagne, Size: 10 Years, Color: Champagne
This formal suit is perfect for weddings, or any formal function. It is true to size. The pants run a little long. The material is shiny. The suit is worth the money, and actually looks like it cost more than what it did. There is not adjustable waist. You have to wear a belt with it. This outfit will make you feel rich in spirit. My son was so adorable in this outfit.
