The Parisian DJ/producer duo have made their mark with icy grooves and epic productions, a perfectly-executed musical path that has led them to become one of the driving forces of French electronic music since the '90s. After the dark and melancholic convulsions of it's studio album Nuit de Rêve (2011), Scratch Massive invites the listener to intimately explore new heights through the sublime images and existential travels presented in Day Out Of Days - the 2015 film by director Zoe Cassavetes. This intense musical duo has undertaken a veritable revolution, giving body and soul to their latest project. Day Out Of Days is a troubling and enraptured vision of "The California Dream" - the one that always seems to slip away at the last moment from under the feet of the film's disappointed heroine. On this album, Scratch Massive trades in it's somber ways and the dark beauty of it's electronic odes for a new pop sensibility nourished by the grand air of the Pacific Ocean and the frenetic rhythm of a city that never sleeps. From the wide-eyed pop song "Turn Away" that opens the album, the new wave mirages that inspire the superb "Frolic Spleen" and "A New Deal" and the infectious magic of "Paris" (an electro-pop hit carried by the irresistible voice of Daniel Agust, former lead singer from Icelandic cult band GusGus), Day Out Of Days brings together an elegant, out-of-control bacchanal evoking dreams snuffed out by the stark realism of the daily grind, shady sunsets reflecting undetectable fears too heavy to bear. Could this be the sound of "California Dreamin" under modernity's magnifying glass? Quite simply, with Day Out Of Days, Scratch Massive have made a modern electronic album, perfectly at ease with the influence of pop as a way to revisit and reexamine it's clichés, it's stylistic effects, and the hungry nostalgia for the 1980s. A Solution to Lapbook Problems

This is the best product I have encountered in all my days of using a laptop. I use it with a wireless keyboard, and so the screen is up in my face where I can see it well, and the keyboard in down below where I can type easily without tiring my wrists. I am delighted with it all. The stand swivels, an advantage I was not expecting to care about, and find that I do. The swivel allows me to adjust to the incoming light for better vision. That might not make sense to users of lamps, but I have a skylight and so am accommodating to the sun all day long. The swivel changes everything.
Another plus is how sturdy the stand is. I have no fears of it turning over or dumping the laptop into my lap. It is clearly there to stay, and yet if I need to move it, that is easily accomplished. I tuck the entire thing behind closed doors most of the time when it is not in use, and that leaves my work space neat and tidy.
There is one final advantage. I am a coffee drinker, and I have always been worried about knocking my cup over into my computer. With the stand, my computer sits above the desk top where I put my coffee, and the keyboard is on s shell below and out of the way. I still prefer to drink rather than knock over my coffee, but, hey, why not have a measure of safety also.
I give this product a 10 star review if there is such a thing. It has been a real game changer for me, and now I am not regretting not purchasing a desktop machine. My laptop is absolutely perfect with this stand, and has the advantage that it goes with me when I travel.

Great Stand for retina Macbook Pro 15" but one thing you have to be careful about! NEW USERS/BUYERS BEWARE!

Great stand as other reviewers have noted. The laptop runs cooler, the ergonomics for working are much better....
I just wish ONE thing for this stand. I wish the latch that holds the computer at the bottom trackpad area (meaning the two protruding feet on the stand that are holding your laptop in place right by the trackpad) had a bit more height to it. I have noticed my laptop is almost flush with the feet of the stand, which looks nice design-wise, but makes it a bit less-than-secure. A few times, I thought I put my laptop on the stand securely, but found that a small bump would almost make the laptop slide down off that latch, meaning I did not put my laptop securely onto the stand and into the latch after all. Thank goodness I saved my Mac right before the it fell and got any damage those few times.
I have one of the latest generations of the retina Macbook Pro 15", which means my computer is thus relatively thin (meaning that the height of the laptop when fully closed, from the bottom of the case to the top of the case, is really short). So if I am having trouble with it, I bet older generations of Macbook Pros that are a bit thicker, or any other laptops that are thicker, might have the same issues I have. Computers that are thin like the Macbook Air probably do not have much issue.
But now that I am aware of the issue, I double-check to make sure that the latch is securely holding the laptop when placing it on the stand, so it is not that big of a problem to deal with--just NEW USERS/BUYERS PLEASE BEWARE SO YOU MAKE SURE YOUR LAPTOP DOESN'T SLIDE OFF!

Looks improved!

Bought this model originally in 2016 and it has held up quite well. Decided to get a newer one since some of the product images appeared to indicate some changes had been made.
- the center opening with the logo is larger, better for airflow.
- the circle pads on the top are also larger.
- the front lip has been simplified using less materials, good choice.
- the bottom bearings are noticeably smoother and quieter.
Great attention to detail I think. I prefer the 360 spinning version after trying the standard one. The ability to rotate the stand is just so convenient. This is my favorite aluminum stand on here and now it’s even better! See photos and video for comparison. Old model on left.

Functional, durable, and color-matching stand for MacBook Pro

I recently purchased this stand for my MacBook Pro and I am extremely pleased with my purchase. The design of the stand is a perfect match for my MacBook Pro, it looks great and it fits perfectly. The stand is made of durable materials and it feels very sturdy and stable, perfect for keeping on your desk.
One of the features that I appreciate the most is that it allows me to rotate my MacBook Pro 360 degrees, which is extremely convenient when I am in a meeting and need to show something on my screen to someone else.
The stand also has a non-slip rubber base which provides a stable and secure grip on any surface. Additionally, the color space gray is exactly the same as the MacBook Pro, which makes it seamlessly integrate with the overall design. Even though it is not lightweight to carry around, it is designed to be kept on your desk, which makes it perfect for a workstation.
In summary, I highly recommend this stand for MacBook Pro to anyone looking for a functional and durable stand that allows to rotate the screen, perfect to keep on your workstation and with a color that integrates seamlessly with the MacBook Pro.

Loved it so much I bought a second one!

I have two of these bad boys: one at the office and one at home, and I've used them for a couple of years now. I love them. I pair it with a separate Bluetooth keyboard on the desk, and I can't imagine doing computer work without it anymore. Being able to elevate the screen transforms my laptop into a small PC, and I love being able to swivel it around to show a coworker what I'm working on or to just glance at the screen real quick if I'm up walking around. I've never had any stability issues with these. So long as you put it on a level surface, I think you'll be fine. The mStand360 is badass.
