Most people associate Tuff Gong with Bob Marley, and rightly so, as he was often called Tuff Gong and his early releases came out on the Tuff Gong label. But Tuff Gong was also the name of a recording complex named after Bob Marley that included a top-level recording studio, pressing plant, and distribution center. Marley had taken over the former residence of Island Records boss Chris Blackwell - Island House, 56 Hope Road - around 1974. Two days before the Smile Jamaica Concert, on December 3, 1976, the house was ambushed by gunmen. Marley's manager, Don Taylor was hit five times, Marley was shot in the arm, and his wife Rita was hit in the head by a stray bullet - but none of the injuries were fatal. Immediately after the concert Marley started his self-imposed exile from Jamaica, settling in London, England. This would lead to the aptly named Exodus album being recorded there in the summer of 1977. It would not be until the One Love Peace Concert in Kingston's National Stadium on the April 22, 1978, that Marley would return to the island. Marley felt it was important to show his commitment to the people of Jamaica, and upon his return to 56 Hope Road, he began the construction of his own recording studio with the help of music mogul Tommy Cowan. Unfortunately, Marley's short life would end on the May 11, 1981, from cancer. His passing would lead to 56 Hope Road being turned into a museum. A new location would have to be found to carry on Marley's work; this turned out to be 220 Marcus Garvey Drive, Kingston 11. Rita Marley and Tuff Gong International bought the facility, and hired engineers including Errol Brown (Treasure Isle Studios) and Hopeton Brown aka Scientist, so named for his groundbreaking style by the great producer Bunny Striker Lee, who had worked with him previously at King Tubby's studio and Channel One Studios. Watch This! Dubbing at Tuff Gong focuses on the work carried out by the great Scientist on the songs of the Black Solidarity label (run by Ossie Thomas aka Joe the Boss), at Tuff Gong, one of the foremost recording, pressing, and distribution facilities on the Jamaican island, set up from the work of Bob Marley to carry forward reggae music.

My dogs LOVE these over the leading brand!
My dogs LOVE these chew bones! They will chew on these things for 30 minutes straight. They will dig them out from the dog basket, or whine at the door if they left it outside. I ended up having to get all 4 of my dogs each their own it was so popular. The white bone in the picture is the from the leading brand and you can see which one they go for, lol. They've had these bones for 6 weeks now and chew on them daily, and multiple times throughout the day. If your dog is a chewed or puppy, definitely give these a try!

Terrific! Much easier to use than Kongs and my dog loves it.
Flavor Name: Peanut Butter, Size: Medium
I like these so much better than the original Kongs. The large opening makes it so much easier to put peanut butter or cream cheese into it. Plus much easier to clean out afterwards.
My dog also likes to chew it and play with it throwing it in the air after he’s done eating the peanut butter. Very sturdy - he chews apart stuffed toys but his chewing hasn’t damaged this at all.
I highly recommend this product!

Great for strong chewing dogs. Entertaining too!
Flavor Name: Peanut Butter, Size: Medium
My black lab can destroy the toughest of dog chew toys, but he's not destroyed this peanut. I fill it with peanut butter, yogurt, pumpkin or apple sauce and freeze it. It keeps him entertained for quite a while. When the filling is gone, he leaves it alone or carries it around begging for a filled one.

Super cute! If you have one dog it'll last a while. If you have more than one...buy two.
Flavor Name: Marshmallow & Peanut Butter, Size: Large
This is THE FAVORITE chew toy in our household. We have two grown labs and a 10 month old mutt and they all love this toy. They got a variety of chew toys at Christmas and this is the one that they steal from each other. That said, they've definitely managed to kill it. It's well worth the money and it's held up well to heavy chewers but four months later and we're going to have to buy a new one. It's now a stub. They managed to break off all the marshmallows about a week ago and the stick itself is more like a chunk now but we definitely got our money's worth.

Lasting 6 months in! Great smell.
Flavor Name: Marshmallow & Peanut Butter, Size: Large
This actually does smell like marshmallows which is definitely more pleasant than most dog chews!! It has held up to our power chewer. It’s a bit heavy for our smaller dog but he manages and it’s quite funny!! It’s a bit hard but that’s why it is holding up. Would buy again if this one ever wears out.
