Pinetop Perkins was a three time Grammy Award winner and the dean of blues piano players when he passed away last year, just four months shy of his 98th birthday. I've been purchasing the white w/grey toe socks for most of my adult life. Never really understood why I'd want anything else. They also have ample thickness to protect my feet while I'm running from any rubbing or hot spots from my shoes. I imagine this has a lot to do with the fact that they maintain their shape and do not move/slip around while wearing. I was a bit hesitant to purchase black running socks at first, but they hide right below my shoe line and are even less noticeable than my old white w/grey toe socks I used to purchase. I am not certain what "charged cotton" means, but if it means amazing feel, great features (wick away sweat; fight odor), and all for a reasonable price. I'm in. Overall, if you're looking for a nice pair of socks to wear throughout the day or while doing your workout, you would be remiss in not giving these UA socks a shot.
