Over the course of five decades, the legendary Austrian free jazz collective Reform Art Unit (and their offshoot groups) have collaborated with countless musicians, including Don Cherry, Carla Bley, Evan Parker, and Jim Pepper. Documented collaborations with free jazz notables include Impressions (Kovarik's Musikothek, 1978) with Anthony Braxton and Clifford Thornton; Subway Performances (Granit, 1994) and Illumination (InRespect, 1995) with Sunny Murray; and With Milo Fine (Granit, 1999). Milo Fine's lengthy resume includes numerous records as leader of his own group (the Milo Fine Free Jazz Ensemble) as well as collaborations with Joe McPhee (MFG in Minnesota; Hat Hut, 1978, & Old Eyes; Hat Hut, 1979) and duo encounters with Derek Bailey (Scale Points on the Fever Curve; Emanem, 2003) and Anthony Braxton (Shadow Company; Emanem, 2004). In May of 2015, Fine fulfilled a personal ambition by hosting the first North American appearances of Reform Art Unit founding members Fritz Novotny and Sepp Mitterbauer. Three nights of extraordinary and intimate concerts ensued at Minneapolis' Studio Toile d'Angles. This limited edition LP was culled by Nero's Neptune from over three hours of material, and consists of three pieces featuring two sextets and one nonet. Joining the core members of reformARTwest (Novotny/Mitterbauer/Fine) are Elaine Evans, Daniel Furuta, Benjamin J Mansavage Klein, Davu Seru, Charles Gillett and Paul Metzger. For Sepp is dedicated to the living memory of Sepp Mitterbauer, who died on December 9th of 2015. Mastered by Carl Saff. Housed in a beautiful, tip-on jacket with full color artwork. Edition of 300.

Game changing storage!

I love the shelves. I got to use my own wood which was a reclaimed piece that I found and sanded and then stained. I'm so proud to see them on the shelves. It got so much clutter corralled from around the room and put in one place where it all looks good displayed together. The support pieces are very good quality and I found this to be very good value for the price. I'm very happy with this item.

Good all around, some imperfections on threads difficult to screw together

I received a complete product as advertised, it's a solid steel design with everything you need to mounted included. One small issue I encountered is that the pieces screw together but they wouldn't screw all the way it felt difficult and possibly if forced the steel might crack. Unfairly enough other pieces did completely screw in. So it's probably because of imperfections on the threads.

Build w/ a Friend, and BYOL (Bring Your Own Level)

Definitely a two-person job. Not because it's heavy, but a little awkward at first. I installed the first bracket, and my 12 yo assisted. Then, she hung the second bracket, and I assisted. Have a level handy. I didn't want to roll the dice and allow her to hang from the bracket, but it seems super-strong. We hung the brackets 32" apart, and 6" overhang, i.e. 48" x 12" laminate shelves. Gorgeous.

Nice, sturdy kit...would buy again!

Purchasing this kit instead of each piece of pipe and fittings required was a no-brainer. It was especially easy because all pieces are prepainted. It went together with ease.
Mounting was simple with planning, measurements, and a level.
*Note*
I purchase the pine stair treads from Home Depot that are 1" thick and then chemically aged them before adding polycrylic. It is cheaper than plywood and shelving boards, and a full 1" thick rather than 1x12 shelving.

Looks amazing!

Very straight forward to build. Mine was not hard but to a bit more effort because my ceiling is at an angle so I had to get a little creative. I cut a piece of wood and placed it between the ceiling and one of the arms for it to be even. It’s also not completely even cause I didn’t have a long level but still looks amazing.
