Two sizes of teapot, holding 0.5 and 1.0 litres. Two sizes of cups: a normal size for Chinese teas and a large one that is ideal for a malty, full-bodied Ceylon.

Drinking tea from the Penrose tea service is a treat for all the senses and, with the stainless steel SoftBrew™ Tea filter, it has become very easy and practical too.

Comfortable high handle balances the weight of water. The hollow handle means insulation; it does not get hot! Penrose spout has a slow pour lip. The pot's round body encourages good brewing flow of the tea leaves. Majority of water is held in large low reservoir that keeps a steady balanced center of gravity.

Using advanced photo-etching technology, Sowden SoftBrew™ stainless steel micro filter traps the tea leaves and separates them from the water with enough brewing flow that is needed to capture the full taste of any black, green or fruit tea. When the tea has brewed for as long as you wish, removing the filter is easy. We are proud that this contemporary solution to teapot design follows more than two thousand years of tradition and is made in China of the finest porcelain.
