Nike SB Dunk Low Crushed D.C. fuses fearless skate-ready performance with a bold, city-ready aesthetic. Built for riders who demand grip, durability, and standout style, this colorway blends Olive Grey, Mantra Orange, and Rattan in a way that’s instantly recognizable on the board and off-duty.

What makes this pair truly unique sits in the details and the materials:

  • Marbled Swoosh on both sides provides a striking, one-of-a-kind look that shifts with light and movement—a hallmark of this Crushed D.C. drop.
  • Dusty Brown suede overlays add depth and texture, giving the shoe a premium, rugged feel that's built to withstand daily skating.
  • NikeGrind materials reflect a commitment to sustainability without compromising performance, delivering a durable, responsive ride.
  • Tinted outsoles subtly echo the base colors, creating a cohesive, eye-catching silhouette from outsole to collar.
  • Tongue branding replaced with “Crushed D.C.” and insole with name tag-inspired graphics give this pair a distinctive personality and collectible appeal.
  • Perforated toe cap enhances airflow and board feel, while the classic lacing system keeps the fit secure during transitions and flips.
  • Release details: debuted on October 7, 2022, with a retail price of $110, making it an accessible entry point for sneakerheads and skaters alike.

Who should consider the Crushed D.C. Dunk Low? It’s tailor-made for skateboarders who want reliable grip, impact protection, and a look that stands out in streetwear scenes. It also appeals to sneaker collectors and enthusiasts who crave a bold, story-driven colorway with a touch of DC-inspired branding.

Use scenarios to consider:

  • On the board—the perforated toe and grippy outsole deliver solid pedal control, while suede overlays handle scuffs during street sessions.
  • Casual everyday wear—the Olive Grey base with Mantra Orange accents pairs with denim, chinos, or cargo styles for a versatile, urban look.
  • Showcase moments—the marbled Swoosh and Crushed D.C. branding offer standout details perfect for sneaker events or photo-ready street style.

Compared to standard Dunk Lows, Crushed D.C. emphasizes sustainability through Nike Grind materials without sacrificing the responsive ride skaters expect. The color narrative—Olive Grey with vibrant orange highlights and warm rattan tones—creates a contemporary, wearable palette that ages well with wear, gaining character over time.

Care and style tips to maximize longevity and look:

  • Spot-clean suede with a soft brush and a damp cloth to maintain texture and color.
  • Use a protective suede spray to reduce scuff risk during wet or gritty urban sessions.
  • Store away from direct sunlight to preserve the olive and orange hues the way they were designed to appear.

If you’re seeking a skate sneaker that delivers on performance while making a bold personal statement, the Nike SB Dunk Low Crushed D.C. stands out as a distinctive, well-rounded choice. It’s more than a colorway—it’s a narrative in footwear that caters to both function and style, ready to hit the streets or the park whenever you are.

not bad
Format: Kindle
I loved the plot of this book. The characters just didn’t have a lot of depth. The connections and “love” just weren’t communicated very well in the writing. The author didn’t write the sweet psycho trope very well at all either. Lachlan was just a mess of a character.

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

Good start to a series
Format: Kindle
I delayed reading the series for reasons I don’t remember. But my TBR list is huge so I thought I’d take a shot of this and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think the blurb about it was anything special. But it was a very good book. It took some interesting twists and turns. I am so glad the second book is already out. Because I would not have waited patiently. Very slow burn but good storyline. 🔥🔥/5
