Shooting a video with interchangeable lens cameras and compact cameras is becoming increasingly popular. These cameras are great for capturing short movie clips, but aren't designed to replace the uninterrupted video capture capability of camcorders. All manufacturers in the industry have defined a limit of up to 29 minutes, 50 seconds for continuous video recording with these cameras. However, this limit can often be much shorter depending on the camera. Sony cameras with interchangeable lenses have a maximum of 29 minutes and 50 seconds for continuous video recording. This period is affected by the following factors. Ambient temperature, The number of clips recorded at the same time, The time that the camera is allowed to cool down between clips. When you use the camera to shoot long video clips or to capture many series of still images, the temperature inside the camera increases. If the temperature gets too high, a warning icon may appear and the camera will shut down to protect the circuit. This is not a mistake and the camera simply needs to be turned off for a few minutes to allow it to cool down.
