The length is a compact 1800mm long, complemented by 25mm shaft diameter.  Check out the close up of the knurling and you'll easily see a flatter surface and deeper grooves with near straight walls.  This allows a very grippy feel, without the sharp peaks.   The shaft is constructed from >190,000psi UTS Steel, with a rolling and strengthening process that gives it a stiffer feel.
Features include:

  • Black manganese phosphate shaft for durability grip.  This coating is used for military-grade weaponry and has excellent durability and superior grip, and no shine.
  • A flat walled diamond knurl pattern provides a superior gripping surface, and a chalky texture, that mind-bogglingly wicks sweat away
  • Bright zinc, striated pattern sleeves containing oil-impregnated bronze bushings, for a smooth spin - NOTE, bright zinc as a sleeve coating will wear faster than chrome.

Finally a fully droppable 10kg Bar!  Designed and constructed specifically to fit the needs of the junior Olympic lifter, or the novice, looking to progress from a broomstick or alloy bar.  The black manganese phosphate and Diamond Knurl combination provide a grip that offers a superior grip without the tearing of many sharp ‘pure’ weightlifting bars. This is a great all-purpose, functional strength, and Olympic, and All-Round junior lifting bar.

Specifications and Construction Features:

  • 10kg*25mm*1800mm
  • Sleeve length 168mm
  • >190,000+psi spring steel
  • Shaft tolerance +0.5/-0mm
  • Oil Impregnated bronze bushings
  • Industrial black manganese shaft electroplating
  • Industrial bright zinc sleeve electroplating
  • Omitted centre knurl for neck comfort
  • Dual IWF 910mm, and IPF 810mm, markings for correct hand placement
  • 30,000 drop tested to ensure safety and durability
  • The dual snap ring design
  • End caps marked with the bar weight
  • +/-10g tolerance

Maintenance:

Maintenance of zinc requires occasional rubbing with 3-in-1 oil, or similar.

 Barbell Warranty Specifics

This is an Olympic Lifting specific Barbell.  Maintenance is key for any piece of gym equipment, and importantly for barbells.  Regular maintenance will keep your equipment in prime condition and lasting a lifetime.  Regular oiling between the shaft and sleeve with 3 in 1 oil is essential for good rotation

Incorrect usage (misuse) of barbells includes but is not limited to:

  • Dropping unevenly onto a non-Olympic platform surface, spotting arms, power rack, box etc
  • Dropping the bar with no bumper plates (empty bar)
  • Dropping the bar with weight plates other than bumper plates
  • Dropping the bar in a way that part of the bar makes contact with any surface prior to the bumper plates
  • Storing the bar for a prolonged period of time loaded with weights

Key indicators for barbells that have been used for purposes that are unintended, and void warranty, include

  • A slight or gradual and consistent bend in the shaft. Incorrect storage such as leaving the barbell loaded with weight for a prolonged period of time will cause this style of damage thus rendering misuse rather than a manufacturing fault
  • A bend that is off centre is the result of trauma caused by the uneven dropping of the bar.  Generally accompanied by a localised surface deviation or colour change on the shaft

delightful read
Format: Kindle
What a delightful read. The characters are awesome, the plot was so good, I loved it. I was intrigued and it kept me wanting more. Told in multiple pov, the book sucks you in and doesn’t let go. I cannot wait to read the next book.

not bad
Format: Kindle
I loved the plot of this book. The characters just didn’t have a lot of depth. The connections and “love” just weren’t communicated very well in the writing. The author didn’t write the sweet psycho trope very well at all either. Lachlan was just a mess of a character.

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.
