Installation Best Practices
When installing the B4 mount on an URSA Mini Pro:

Clean Surface: Ensure the mounting turret is free of dust or debris before placing the B4 mount.

Star Pattern Tightening: To ensure even pressure and proper flange focal distance, tighten the screws in a "star" or cross pattern rather than going in a circle.

Hand-Tighten First: Always start the threads by hand to avoid cross-threading the magnesium camera body.

Tooling: Use a high-quality 2mm hex driver. Avoid using worn-out keys as they can easily strip the shallow hex heads of these small screws.
Operational Insight
Unlike the standard EF or PL mount screws used on the URSA Mini, the B4 mount screws are specifically balanced for the internal optical block used in B4 correction. Because the B4 mount contains its own spherical aberration correction glass, any misalignment caused by loose or improper screws will result in significant image degradation (softness or chromatic aberration). Having a fresh set of screws ensures the mount remains perfectly parallel to the sensor.
