Mental Health and Your Church: A Handbook for Biblical Care (A Ministry Guide to Mental Illness, Anxiety, Depression, Trauma and Addiction)Many people are struggling with mental health conditions, exacerbated by the COVID 19 pandemic and life in our image conscious culture. Many people are struggling with mental-health conditions, exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic and life in our image-conscious culture. Statistics tell us that, worldwide, one in six of us will have experienced a mental-health struggle in the past week, and serious depression is the second-leading cause of disability (Mental Health Foundation). That means there are brothers and sisters in our church families battling with thoughts, feelings, impulses and even voices that distract, drag down and nudge them towards despair. But when it comes to helping, it can be tricky to know where to begin, especially if we have very little knowledge of mental illnesses and are afraid of making things worse by saying and doing the wrong things.

This wise, compassionate and practical book is written by Steve Midgley, who worked in psychiatry and then as a pastor and is now Executive Director of Biblical Counselling UK, and Helen Thorne, Director of Training and Resources at Biblical Counselling UK. It will help readers understand and respond with biblical wisdom to people who are struggling with their mental health. While acknowledging the importance of liaising responsibly with medics and counsellors, this book focuses on equipping readers to play their part in making churches places where those who struggle with mental-health conditions are welcomed, understood, nurtured and supported: a foretaste of the new creation. This is a useful book for anyone who cares for others pastorally: pastors, elders, small-group leaders and congregation members.

‘What can ordinary Christians do to help fellow church members who struggle with mental illness? A great deal, according to Thorne and Midgley. Without sidestepping the important roles of mental health care professionals and medications, they highlight, through worked examples, what the church can and should do to become a welcoming, wise, Christ-centered community for strugglers.’ Michael R. Emlet, Faculty Member, Christian Counseling & Educational Foundation; author, CrossTalk: Where Life and Scripture Meet and Descriptions and Prescriptions

Inadequate
Have had the brush for 2 weeks. Brushed 7 pieces of my macrame project. Half the brush have sunken behind the rubber part of the brush, unusable. I used pliers to pull out some of the wire brush part. Not sure it will be sufficient to do the jobs I purchased it for.

High quality sheepskin!!
Color: Natural (Yellow-white Ivory), Size: 2' x 3' (Natural), Color: Natural (Yellow-white Ivory), Size: 2' x 3' (Natural)
This sheepskin was purchased as a "chair cover" for my pets. It arrived with very nice packaging, along with detailed care instructions. The sheepskin was advertised as being"not white" online, and the company made very sure to state that the fur has an "off white/yellow" color. That was a little concerning for me, and I wasn't really sure whether it would have an off color, but it arrived exactly as described. There were no obvious discolorations, spots, or blemishes. In fact, it arrived as a soft "off white" color that is very beautiful and exquisite. The fur has a plush, even look, and there is no matting or fuzzy, "neglected teddy bear look" at all! I actually purchased another brand to see if I could distinguish the difference between the two. This particular sheepskin is by far the better of the two purchases. FYI: When the package was opened, there was no distinct odor. That's a huge plus! I will admit that the size was slightly smaller than expected. It really doesn't matter much in the space I'm using it for though. My miniature Dachshund loves it! If you're trying to find a high quality sheepskin, and you don't need to cover a very large space, this is definitely the one to buy!

The Quality of the sheepskin is awesome.
Color: Wolf Tip, Size: 2' x 3' (Natural)
This rug is a beautiful specimen of New Zealand sheep. The rug is very very soft, the rug is thick, and the brown tips are fabulous looking. All in all I'm very pleased with this purchase. The size is perfect as it measures 2' x 3'. I would buy again from this seller.

Plush rug that’s super soft. WOW!
Color: Natural (Yellow-white Ivory), Size: 6' x 7' (Natural)
Beautiful and super plush! I use it as an outer blanket when cold weather camping. Like a modern day cave man. One of my favorite purchases. I avoid kneeling on it while it’s on my mattress fearing it might split the hide, or damage the stitching. It fits my queen size camper bed. Cant say enough!
