The AGM NVG-50 is a dual-channel night vision system. With a 51° field of view (FOV), it provides a wide visual field without the need to move the binoculars. The AGM NVG-50 features high-quality multi-coated consumer-grade optics and is built to last with a lightweight and rugged housing. The device is built around commercial-grade Gen 2 image intensifier tubes, offering a very attractive price/performance ratio. The bright light cut-off function ensures that its high-quality electronics are protected. The NVG-40 is also equipped with Manual Gain Control, which adjusts image brightness, allowing you to customize your night vision experience during the boldest adventures. The AGM NVG-50 is also equipped with Manual Gain Control, which adjusts image brightness, providing the highest possible image quality even in changing light conditions. Powered by a single AA or CR123A alkaline battery, the NVG-50 can operate for up to 20 hours. It is also equipped with a built-in infrared illuminator for reading in the dark.
For hands-free use of the NVG, it can be mounted on various mounts such as AN/PVS-7D, AN/PVS-14, AN/PVS-7A/C, AN/PVS-15, and AN/PVS-18 mounts, or on mounts with a mini-rail interface.
The NVG interface shoe (pre-installed) is used to mount the NVG onto a standard dovetail-type headset and helmet mount. The Bayonet/Horn interface shoe (included) is used to mount the NVG onto a standard bayonet/horn-type headset and helmet mount. The NVG interface shoe with connector (optional) is used to mount the NVG-40/NVG-50 onto standard dovetail-type headset and helmet mounts and to connect the battery pack. The Mini-Rail interface shoe is used to mount the NVG onto mounts with a mini-rail interface. The Mini-Rail interface shoe is included in the optional AGM Goggle Kit W and AGM Helmet Mount.
