If you want to get the best possible taste from your espresso and ensure a long life for your machine, we recommend this anti-limescale protection. The BWT L scale protector fits perfectly into all water tanks (2-5 litres) of hot beverage machines. No assembly is required. This disc/pad is rinsed briefly before use and placed in the bottom of the water tank. The pad then needs around 8 to 10 hours to remove calcium ions (limescale) from the water.

How does it work?
The food-grade ion exchanger binds the calcium ions present in the water, thus preventing the binding of calcium carbonate, which causes limescale deposits. The pad is made from hygienic fabric and ensures optimum flow. In addition to limescale, other substances are also filtered from the water. These include substances that affect the taste of the water, such as chlorine, and certain heavy metals, such as copper and zinc, which can come from the pipes.

The L anti-scale pad is suitable for water tanks with a volume of 2 to 5 litres. It has a filtering capacity of around 200 litres for a water hardness of 10°dH. For reasons of hygiene, you should change the pad after 2 months at the latest.
