This Grand Concert model features the brand's next-generation elements to improve the Taylor formula on fundamental levels with advancements in bracing, neck control, and electronics. Following up in the celebrated Next Generation series, the Taylor Grand Concert receives loving upgrades on every level. Everything here begins with a cutaway Taylor Grand Concert body brought together from a western red cedar top and mahogany back and sides. This classy combo of tonewoods produces a warm voice full of midrange complexity and depth. These woods match for a comfortable playing feel under the arm and easy access to higher frets. Within, the Next Generation introduces its first foundational improvement, scalloped V-Class bracing that balances traditional scalloped bracing shaping and Taylor's V-Class bracing pattern for a totally lush and expansive voice.

The Next Generation series carries on with another improvement, the Action Control neck. This new feature makes string height adjustments easier than ever, putting more control in the hands of players to make playability suited to their own feel. This neo-tropical mahogany neck features a long tenon joint, a slim profile, and a satin finish for smooth moves across the full scale length. A West African Crelicam ebony fingerboard matches with this neck with Italian acrylic Meridian fret inlays for an easy feel on the fingers and a detailed look up close.
